ABSENCES

It is well established that regular attendance in school is related to positive student progress and achievement.  When it is necessary for your child to be absent from school or arrives late to school, the school must receive notification each day from the parent/guardian through a phone call or note explaining the reason(s).  Please assist us by calling the school office at 457-3430 before 10:00 a.m. each day your child is absent stating the reason.

TARDIES

Students are expected to arrive at school on time.  It is disruptive to the teacher and students in the classroom when other students arrive late.  In the event students arrive late, students should report to the office prior to reporting to class. Physician’s or dental appointments are examples of excused tardies.  All other tardies are unexcused and may involve disciplinary action.  Please schedule student appointments after school hours.  Students with more than three/unexcused tardies in one semester will be considered a habitual truant as per California Education Code.
